Houston Texas (March 11 2026) – Rusty Gear, writing in the spirit inspired by true American musical heritage, recently released his newest celebration of American roots music to radio and the record is already charting on Americana Music Association and Roots Music charts. The album “Music City Drifters” is an eight track bluegrass compilation recorded in Nashville, Tennessee that presents an exceptional team of top shelf bluegrass musicians, including Jason Roller (guitars & fiddle), Tony King (backing vocals), both members of the Grand Ole Opry house band, the award winning Americana multi-instrumentalist Justin Moses (banjo & mandolin), Evan Winsor (upright bass) and Nashville veteran Scotty Sanders (dobro). Rusty teams with award winning Americana artist Hannah Bethel on “Won’t Forget” and  “Wind River Elegy”, which includes a marvelous fiddle accompaniment. Rusty shares, “Bluegrass is real American culture, it’s real roots music, the heart of American musical heritage. It captures amazing down home vocal harmonies and virtuoso instrumental performance, all the while delivering lyrical narratives that reveal the authentic American way of life. I wrote these songs in the spirit of those before me, the men and women who pioneered the styles that we enjoy today.” Gear’s album was produced by Brad Hill and recorded in his Nashville’s studio, released on the Chickahominy Marsh Records label with Bill Wence Promotions servicing the album to radio. Rusty Gear is the creator of the American Way Of Life musical collection that reveals original stories of the everyday American man and woman.
